These are top of mind as I write the blog, please share your thoughts on these and propose others. My brain is about tapped out on the topic
At Crowd Scale we can:
- conduct and crowd-fund small citizen-science projects
- collect anecdotal patient stories "for" and "against" efficacy in non-Asians from around the world
- survey and poll patients, clinics, hospitals, researchers to better understand the landscape
- partner with and lightly compensate early career researchers willing to get involved laying the ground work for them to pursue grants and perhaps lead future large studies on the topic
- fund notices in nephrology and otolaryngology publications to reach out to relocated clinical medical professionals working with non-asian populations
- make it easy for clinics and medical groups with large non-asian patient populations to analyze their existing patient data, help them outbound to their patients to find those that have had a tonsillectomy before/after diagnosis
- crowd-fund small retrospective studies in Caucasian populations
- advocate for large controlled multisite studies
- Support researchers pursuing grants
Health Maintenance Organization, hospital, clinic, or medical practice data sets are potentially low hanging fruit in the United States and Europe.
